Student Ministries are a priority at St. Stephens. Our students help plan and run the programs. We have a variety of options for all ages and opportunities for learning about and living out your faith at St. Stephen’s.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday at 9:30am

Sunday Morning snack and discussion

Students gather for breakfast snacks and drinks. Time to catch up on what has been going on in each others life. Share joys and concerns, and just be students with students.

Jr. High (grades 6th- 8th) meet together at 10:00am for a time to study the word of God through hands on studies. Come prepared to be active, get dirty and just laugh while participating in your own faith journey.

Sr. High (grades 9th-12th) meet together at 10:00am to learn how to be a Christian in today’s world. High school is a hard time without God standing with you, so come and learn how to integrate him into your everyday activities.

Sunday Evenings

Every Sunday at 6:30pm the students have worship. The students DO this worship, they plan it, they pick the songs and music, they select the prayers and they deliver the message. This worship is by students for students. Come and enjoy hearing the word said through a student’s perspective. All ages are welcome.

During the school year from 7:00-8:30pm, Jr. high students andSr. high students meet separately. We learn how to work faith into our everyday lives through bible studies, worship, games and fellowshipping with each other.

Missions & Outreach

The students of St. Stephens take missions seriously. Going out and being the hands and feet of Jesus is part of being a Christian. We do a variety of local missions throughout the year, but go out and do work away from home during  summer mission trips.

Summer Mission trips

Jr. high students went to the Boy’s Ranch in Gore, OK . We had a great time.  We worked on a variety of projects around the lodge. During the week, we had multiple opportunities to spend time with the boys from the Ranch.  We worshipped at Cookson Hills on Wednesday, which was awesome.

Sr. high students went to Hammond, IN in June.  It was a long drive, but well worth it.  Every youth was on a separate work team and had the opportunity to meet a variety of youth from other parts of the country. (as far away as Alaska)  We did all kinds of work, from scrapping and painting, to roofing, to building a wheelchair ramp.  The families that we did work for were also wonderful.  I think they touched our lives as much as we touched theirs.

The youth at St. Stephen’s participate in many camps during the summer.  This summer we sent multiple youth to JEM, CYME and Tulsa District camp.  Church camp is a vital part of a teenagers faith journey, and we will do what it takes to make sure any teenager that wants to go to camp, goes.
